Hello everyone,
I found out, that my machine will not be able to do all jobs in time, if it keeps fetching work. So I switched to "not receive new jobs". I want to wait, until the old, already downloaded tasks have been done. Only then I want to make the BOINC agent download new ones. But, it seems to me, that the agent stops reporting back finished jobs. It does upload them, but does not report them as finished to the worldcommunity grid website. As a result, the jobs keep the status "in progress" and do not change into the "pending validation" or "valid" status. Is this correct or is this a program failure? What will happen to jobs which have been uploaded in time, but are reported as finished too late, after the point of their expiry? Thank you for any answer Yours Martin Schnellinger |

Even if you've set a project to "no new work", it will continue reporting finished work. Some of the reasons to report work is: 1: To ask for more work. (won't happen since set to "no new work". 2: If has been "ready to report" for 24 hours. 3: If "ready to report" and less than 24 hours until deadline. 4: If "ready to report" and less than "Connect..." until deadline. 5: If user manually select project and hits "update". ![]() "I make so many mistakes.
