again for the i think 5th or more beta sends in a row i have missed receiving any beta's on any of my 3 machines.

yes i have the beta box checked and yes i have done beta's in the past.

dose anyone have a checklist of other things i should make sure to find out reasons i might not be getting beta's when they come out or am i just being unlucky on receiving beta's?

How long your cache is, is not of importance, up to a point. What WCG research is being cached is, which is all I'm going to share today since I'm too in the hunt... today 18 hours closer to gold, which is at this pace about 2014 when it arrives.

Oh, and uplinger tends to announce these beta tests somewhere after midnight, for my timekeeping :O)

Not counting the bad batch of BETA_ts01_pr I had 5 error WU's. In 3 of them wingmen all error'ed out or were Server Aborted. The other 2 each had 1 wingman completing Too Late.

I have 1 In Progress BETA_ ts04_ a006_ pe0000_ 0-- at 48% 12.25 hrs running on a non HT quad with HCC and FAAH also running.

Errors were either (0x1d) - exit code 29 (0x1d) or - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005).

Mine were on various flavors of Windows: XP-64, Vista-32 & Win7-64

Did the researchers/techs already find the problem of the failed PR type WU's of this last batch?

Can we expect some kind of retry/make-up of these PR type Beta WU's?

Interesting, It could be that the pr type has the bug in them...I have gotten one of those and it has errored out as well. I will be taking a look at these to see what is wrong with them. Hopefully it is something simple. I do not have information at this time if they are failing on mac yet. I will try to get these work units stopped so they don't continue to be sent out.

Sorry for the late update on this. Of the couple dozen or so of the betas I ran on my Macs (OS 10.6.3 and BOINC 6.10.21 for most of them), ALL of them validated.

Any problems I've had have resulted from moving my 6 labs across campus to another building with only three labs. So feel free to send me as many betas as you'd like for testing.

We have started sending out the fixed up C.pr work units. About 600 of them being sent out 3 copies each.

Hi piroque. I picked up the repair WU for that one and I got the same error at about the same elapsed time. Looks to me like a "normal" failure -- i.e. it's the science that's wrong, not our machines.
