Installed and got this error:
Boinc Manager
Boinc ownership and permissions are not set properly. Please reinstall. Boinc error code -1037

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, tried choosing "run Boinc just for this user" and for all users. I am the administrator and sole account on this computer.

Re: Mac OS - error code -1037

You don't tell what version of BOINC client you have tried to install, but with Mac OS-X there are compatibility issues i.e. you need to pick the right version which you find here:

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php

The error 1037 is discussed on macupdate: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/23921/boinc

Hope this helps to work around the problem.

BTW, I just notice that WCG now offers 6.10.17 for Mac OS-X and Linux

Guess these newer versions have been internally tested.

This next note for the techs/admin: New prominent download link, no mention of Windows 7?

Re: Mac OS - error code -1037

Try the disk utility and run "verify disk permissions".

If that does not work then uninstall boinc and delete the:
"/Library/Application Support/BOINC Data" folder. Then re-install. Note, if you do this you will loose all/any crunched data.
