I got a email today that in essence says "although you completed your registration successfully, we have no record of a computer with software successfully installed under your member name XXX". The software has been running fine for days and completed some work units. I logged into my account on the website and indeed there are no computers assigned to my account.
When I did the initial install I got a permissions error the first time BOINC tried to run. Based on something I read here I re-ran the installer and the second time there was no error and BOINC started up OK. Couldn't find a FAQ for this. How can I assign my computer to my account? I'm running BOINC 6.10.17 on Mac OS 10.6.3. I've attached my computer to the rosetta project and have processed work units so that part appears fine. |

Took a lot of reading but it did help. The bottom line is after installing I didn't know I needed to attach to the World Community Grid project. I instead had attached to Rosetta. SO I suspended Rosetta and attached to the World Community Grid project. Now my computer shows up.

I wasn't sure exactly what your problem was, but I was pretty sure something in that thread would cover it.
