Dave, as I recall, Monday's are your "see the VA docs" day. How are things going on that front? You hanging in there? I don't know where to start, Keith. In the past I think I did hit a lot of Mondays. I think this was just the luck of the day or it may be that many of the residents I need to see are assigned to office hours on Mondays. I'm finally over my transportation hurdle. If you recall the VA ended the transportation which was getting me from my own home to the hospital because I earn too much money in their perspective. I am now using bus transportation which bus companies are required to provide for disabled people. Two companies are involved in this and getting to and from the VA now involves a transfer since I live outside the city limits of Chicago. This morning it took nearly 3 hours to get there and about the same coming home. The trip would only be between one and two hours if I were to drive a personal vehicle to get there. Unfortunately I decided to give up driving when I lost my leg. So after all of this transportation mess I have now started to run through the specialties that are treating me. As far as my health goes I don't really want to discuss it. Let's just say I'm not happy with it. |
