I'm curious about the wording used in these messages and what they may actually mean.
The first message pertains to all other intermittent projects. The key difference is the use of "can be sent" and, to paraphrase "Not available".
It would be fair to assume that there is something other than availability stopping me from getting WU's. Is this the case?

No - just the fact that currently, there's no work available for DDDT2 (as, after all, the project is Intermittent).

The first is exactly as it's meant in my non-native English speaking mind: In general terms, there is no work for the projects sciences selected, be it full active or intermittent.
The second line spells out which project science had no work and also confirms your selections i.e. only DDDT2.

Funny is, this was most certainly penned by native English speakers.

PS: For the Beta program, if selected, this gives no message at all and is not considered for "If there is no work for... then give me something else".

edit: New speak: sciences or research. WCG as a whole it the DC Project in BOINC terms.
