i've been pushing for more crunchers on yahoo news message boards

hopefully we will see more crunchers over the last month, i'm pretty sure the word has been spread at least somewhat.

basic message has looked like this:

'your computer and game unit can help find cures. look at ibm's "world community grid" and stanford university's "folding at home". both are easy nonprofit ways to help high-tech medical research at home.'

(articles have comment sections at bottom, no links allowed)

i see one other person sometimes advocating the rosetta site.

Re: i've been pushing for more crunchers on yahoo news message boards

You or someone else wrote about this earlier. I took a cue. I now get RSS feeds from Google Health News and the same from Yahoo. If I see a feed related to any BOINC project, I write up a comment pushing the project.

One problem is that when one includes URLs, some sites will see that as spam and kill it. This is way not universal, and the effort is well worth it.

Also, you know, weddings, confirmations, Bar Mitzvahs, christenings, whatever.

I have my personal cards with my email on the front a little pitch and the URL's for BOINC and WCG on the back.

I'm ready, Teddy!!
