smile Blue and Clear Sky !

Yesterday evening in my garden, the sky was clear and the sunset was admirable and exceptional. Why?

Because the sky was empty. Not one contrail. No airplane sound.

I am on the lemanic coast between Lausanne and Geneva, and as many other countries the Swiss airspace is closed.
Switzerland is in the middle of Europe which has the busiest and more dense air traffic in the world. The sky is allways criss-crossed by contrails.

For once the sky was clear and calm. It will not last so we have to make the maximum out of it.

Re: Blue and Clear Sky !

As posted in other thread, had a call out to the North Sea side near Schiphol Airport. They have daily thousands of TOALs. Steel blue skies too and no white lines not even way way up. The birds were stumped there too for 2 days and going. Our local airstrip has 25 daily and here too the same... been overcast and drizzling for past few days, but now this evening light finally the feathered ones have resumed song led by the blackbirds. A little great tit just landed on the gray-beard cacti plucking hairs. He/She's been doing that on and off, dancing around the 4cm incredibly sharp needles so need to get the cam on tripod set for that shot.
