BOINC not using 100% CPU

My sister's PC is running Win 7 and the CPU is a 4Q but for some reason BOINC is only using 2. It was using 4. BOINC is set to use 100% of CPU.

Any ideas on why it stopped using all 4???

Re: BOINC not using 100% CPU

Stopped using 4? Nothing is changed unless through user input. The web device profile has 2 options, CPU% and processors. Set the processors to 4 or any higher number for future expansion :D

On multiprocessors, at most use: 4 processors
On multiprocessors, use: 100 % of processors

WCG client 6.2.28 responds to both fields. Think the 6.10 client, maybe 6.6 too only look at the % field.

Best to clear the local prefs in the client so there wont be any conflict/doubt as to what's in effect. The message log has an override line if local prefs are in effect.

Re: BOINC not using 100% CPU

I just checked and it's now using all 4. However 2 ended with Comput Errors!

Not sure what went on with that.

Possibly, 2 'bombed out' with the DDDT2 'pr' error...
