I have set to watch a particular thread, new posts are added but no warning given. This happens to others as well, so not just me.....

hmmm, I'm getting my twice daily doze, but then I'm doing specific forum watching, not thread watching... so I'll add this one to see if it gets included in the next mail report.
----------------------------------------edit: interesting, seeing now 1% of 128 Threads i.e. now we know the max channels that can be watched.

Do the mail reports come out late in a batch, all as soon as a post is made?

Looking at the "Watch Types" there are -
SysDefault Digest NonDigest At the start it is SysDefault, which may mean Digest. So I have set to non digest to see efect.... |

Twice daily doze meant to say, every 12 hours i get the list of interest. It's maybe because I have multiple selections, I don't know, but if for every post, if only following a single thread, that would be lots of mails on an active topic. At any rate, the RSS forum feed is another way of being informed of a post and setting the reader refresh rate.
----------------------------------------edit: Good observation that type... always was thinking of how to digest all those posts. :) Global Watch Category Watch Forum Watch Thread Watch When selecting Thread level there's a field. Pasted the thread number there and saved it. :D

Is that the only thread you're watching presently?
----------------------------------------Not getting mails either, though entered in the My watch with the correct number, as it now lists that title and Non-Digest selected. Maybe the script is only run periodically to contain the load on the system... maybe that specific server messenger is stuck, in short we'll have to wait for some tech to talk.

For a new watch you will get the first message (if applicable) about 24 hours later, i.e. once per (about) 24 hours, if I remember my first subscription correctly.
