Snippets only showing the specific task transactions do often not tell all the story which is why we like to see a good bit of the lines printed before and after, so what was the log info before the above line? If it was the mentioned system reboot, such as a hard power cycle, then yes the chance of a result progress file getting damaged is increasing dramatically.

Ok - here is a bigger snippet....

An observation:

I can see downloads of HPF2 and HCC tasks but not CMD2 - this is something you might want to ask Techs to look into.

I know I had my computer put on standby shortly after 5pm - this is not showing up in the log. Also the restarting occurred at 03:45 - but no obvious sign why. The reboot I mentioned was after the CMD2 task has finished. If you want whole file I can post it here or e-mail it. Let me know.

The Result Status page will tell you what time the task was downloaded. Then look in the log files, names given earlier, and correct for your local time differential from UTC to find the download records.

Also if you look in the log results of your wingman you can see how they ended, most probably pending validation or valid already. Then it's more than probable that your client had a anti-neutrino, a quark or Higgs boson set a bit in the wrong direction and caused it to go wonky. There's little that can be done by the techs against that, the project seemingly having an extreme low error incurrance... done thousands here and never failing once.

Emergency wingman has not returned the results yet.

How was I supposed to guess that this is a HCMD2 task? All it wanted was just 4 seconds of work.

With a bit more log flag setting, the messages would have communicated also what the estimated task duration would have been such as this:

Yes, the downloaded file names are not exactly giving it away that they are HCMD2 related... but at least via the RS page download time you were able to discover. With this little meaningful log info, just this out-of-the-blue restart, it will likely have been a stray particle from the Fermi lab. Suggest to watch for the wingman returns and bug the techs on Monday should they go belly up as well.
