Certificate problem?

I have an old cruncher running Win2k with a dual core AMD. For some reason it won't upload completed WUs. or download new ones . I get this error message. "Scheduler request failed: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates." No firewall or A/V programs running. Internet connection working. I tried a repair and a complete reinstall. No help. Anyone have a suggestion?

This error most frequently occurs because of incorrect time & date setting on the connecting computer,
