Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

I am sorry that there is frustration. But what is happening with the errors is the science that is being run is determined not a good lab test case. So wet lab test will not need to be conducted on the target/ligand combination that is exiting with an error (in most cases). Unfortunately the way the system is set up, these show up as error's on the website. These are positive negatives for the researchers. Which is why we decreased the max errors from 5 to 3. Members will still get credit for the "error" work units as the computational time used was valuable in that it saves the researchers time and money when performing wet lab tests.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

That's a great clarification. These are NOT errors, they are Results.
I think I knew this for the "C" types but didn't realize it was true for the "A" types as well. I thought the only purpose of the "A" types was to produce the "C"s.
edit- (I meant to produce the "B"s and then the "C"s)

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Went to check what sort of credit I was getting for the Errors.
DDDT2 is no longer on the Project List!

My Grid, Result Status...

Had to find the DDDT2 Error tasks by selecting Device Name ALL, Project Name ALL, and Result Status ERROR.

Clicked on the 3 that were for DDDT2 and found that neither I nor anyone else posted any time other than Zero, so no-one got any points.

Same here, DDDT2 only visible by selecting All Device/Projects. Maybe because of change to Intermittent project? https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28889

The 1 error posted today has not yet been awarded points. The 7 errors posted before today that had CPU time have been awarded points.

Edit: added link

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

DDDT2 is now available on the Results Status Project drop-down again.

DDDT2 is now available on the Results Status Project drop-down again.

Since Rice is out of the Results drop-down, you might as well delete DDDT1, CEP1 and FLU1 since they are all finished way before Rice.

There is a difference - RICE is Complete, DDDT1, CEP1 & FLU1 are still Intermittent (i.e., there is a faint possibilty that the scientists may find extra work (may be rework) that needs processing again).

Thanks for the clarification. What about the runtime? Will this be credited as well?

Thanks + Greetings
