CUDA support for WCG?

The SETI apps have the CUDA support for the Nvidia GPUs and I was wondering if there's any plans to use it for WCG.

Re: CUDA support for WCG?

The fact that there are constant threads on this forum concerning CUDA shows the great amount of interest in this field of grid computing.

Maybe my next suggestion would be to make the search box more visible on the main page. Sometimes us old geezers with trifocals don't always see everything like we used to. cool

I've been running SETI@Home on and off for about 10 years and they recently added CUDA support. I switched to WCG because I thought possibility of finding cures for cancer, HIV and such was more a little more important than finding out if E.T. lived within 1000 Light Years.

As long as the card is there and idle 2/3 of the time it may as well be doing something useful.

Sorry if that was a bit snippy there are 37 pages on the subject and it gets a bit old when people keep asking the same question over and over.

Re: CUDA support for WCG?

Nowadays cuda projects leave your cpu cycles almost unutilisized, so they don't interfere WCG participation.
