You should try adding your PS3 to folding@home or PS3Grid.org project. As Joe said, no WCG for the PS3. PS3Grid has also no more application for the PS3. In the moment the following BOINC projects has a PS3 application : - Yoyo@home : SPE application which fully utilize the perfomance of the PS3 - SETI@home : SPE+PPE application which shifts the FFT tasks to the SPEs. -> Performance is not ideal as the PS3 can - SIMAP : PPE only application. The PS3 performs comparable with a G4/G5 Mac. The big problem is the new firmware which prevents Linux boots. Also the new "PS3 Slim" had also never any "other OS boot" option. |
