In addition to Snow Crash's queries, can we plz see a good part of the message log? Maybe the apps pausing when reaching a certain memory use level... the message logs would tell us that and a whole deal more.

Specifically we'd like to know the science freezing up. HFCC and FAAH can hover for a long time on the same percent, but they're really working.

From this:

It seems that you've modified the settings locally. And

probably means that you've never modified the settings on the website (thus default settings).

So, if you wish to restore the settings to the ones on the website, click "Advanced" (or "Tools" depending on BOINC client version) from the menu bar, choose "Preferences", click the "Clear" button and then the "OK" button.

I believe it has nothing to do with the BOINC settings. It's a problem with my computer and other programs on it because when I run the BOINC agent in safe mode, it works (at least the task is now 85% complete). Problem is I have no errors being logged.
