I woke up this a.m. and it was a mere 16 degrees F. It warmed up to a balmy, sweltering 24 when I cam einto work earlier this evening.. :) Well ... it was 44F for the overnight low, got up to just about 60F around 3:00pm here in the extreme southwest corner of Silicon Valley. We were dipping down to just below freezing a few days ago. Dr. Mike.. - D |

Points milestones report ======================== RT reached 28,000,000 points ![]() Results returned milestones report ================================== NiceMedTexMD returned their 10,000th result ![]() Two very nice milestones today plus, while it may or may not be a first, it is not at all routine to have a single member hit 100,000 points in one day!!! Though it has only been three days, we're off to a great start and already on pace for about a 147 million point year. A 150 pace is very close - and we're not a week into the year even! We have some "lurkers" that I'd love to hear from - Daeloan, xroule - stop by and say hi! How about you Alain? What's the news from up north? Everyone join in! |

For those of you interested in the team challenges (we've been doing pretty well), you know that I have been creating monthly and quarterly challenges for all projects. I'm trying a bit of an experiment. I've created points, results and run time challenges for each of the six active projects for February. Many folks and teams prefer to crunch particular projects so this would be of interest for them. If that interest is good enough, we should probably look at some sort of tracking of the challenges. I'm open to ideas and am hoping someone would be interested in doing that and maintaining a separate thread on our challenges. It seems like a good way to raise the awareness of our team and perhaps do a little good at the same time. Any thoughts?

Keith, wish I knew how I could help.. if you need any assistance, let me know.. :)
----------------------------------------If I was to copy and paste some computer specs here, could I get everyone to tell me what I need and don't need? My biggest problem right now.. is what is "fluff" and what is necessary... Dr. Mike.. ![]() |

... Two very nice milestones today plus, while it may or may not be a first, it is not at all routine to have a single member hit 100,000 points in one day!!! ... Thank You! Thanks Dave. Actually one of my machines dropped off the network due to the fumble-fingered owner changing out routers. It remaind that way for some time. When I noticed it yesterday, it had run all its WUs and was waiting for a connection. Connection resulted in uploading all the WUs and downloading new ones. Hence the peak in stats (hopefully a one-time thing as I do not know how long the machine was sitting there idle). So.. I screwed up and wasted some time and then got a pat on the back for it. Sort of the inverse of doing a good deed and getting punshed for it. ... I have had that happen as well.Everone have a great day!! Oh. and would one of you Northerners up there close the door -- we are getting a really cold draft down here in the South. ![]() Edit Typeo ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by RT at Jan 4, 2010 6:10:03 PM] |
