Switched to Google Public DNS service and seemingly stable, for now
----------------------------------------http://code.google.com/intl/nl/speed/public-dns/docs/using.html Very easy to remember IPs if you need to find an alternate, temporary or permanent.

I tried clearing out all the WCG cookies which seems to have helped. Messing with DNS servers has had little effect for me.

For a while this morning (US East coast), I could get to the My Grid/Stats pages fine but the Forums button gave a 404 error. Worked fine later. Maybe an IP address changed and was just a matter of that clearing out/refreshing. The again, could have just been some short maint.

We had a database backup issue yesterday that caused the forums to go-offline. We have fixed that and all should be working fine now.

Well, this web site isssue is on-going whether it's been worked or not. Nobody has mentioned it in nearly two weeks. I have to sign in each time I try to navigate between "results" or "device manager" or "my statistics", or anywhere else.
The "My Statistics" page seems to be the default page I am sent to regardless of what I selected on the Boinc Manager. I'm completely denied acces to the record links (14, 30, 60, 365) under Statistics History. When selected the sign-in page reappears immediately. I'm using Vista SP2, IE 8 with all updates current. Cookies enabled of course. |

Do you tick the "Remember me" box when you log in? Even if you don't want to be remembered from one session to the next that might solve your problem until the techs can find what is wrong. If it works better your only inconvenience would then be to think of logging out when you are finished.
----------------------------------------Regarding the "My Statistics" page, any time you log in this is the page which is displayed next. Cheers. Jean. |

Yes, I have checked the remeber me box.
When I sign-in I go to the My Statistics page but cannot go elsewhere from there. When I try to go to, for example, Device Manager, I am immediately refered back to a sign-in then back to My Statistics. Sekerob's suggestion about the http://www and https://secure is not applicable because I am already on the secure page. Don't know about DNS servers, what they do, or how to change to another site. The website will not let me select or drop other projects. I cannot see my daily progress. Other than that, I have little use for it. |
