Problems with World Community Grid - ProjectInitalisation
Hello,

I take part in different projects using BOINC (6.4.5) but I dont get the wordlcommunity grid running. All other projects work just fine.

Here is what I did.

1. Signed up for an account.
2. Add the project to BOINC.

After that I got no tasks but several Messages in the Log: 


Mi 25 Nov 2009 07:20:15 CET||Fetching configuration file from http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/get_project_config.php
Mi 25 Nov 2009 07:20:41 CET|World Community Grid|Master file download succeeded

Mi 25 Nov 2009 07:20:50 CET||Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
Mi 25 Nov 2009 07:20:51 CET|World Community Grid|Scheduler request failed: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates
Mi 25 Nov 2009 07:21:51 CET|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request: Project initialization.  Requesting 1 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks
Mi 25 Nov 2009 07:21:52 CET||Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site

I also tried to reset the project... did not help


Any ideas out there?

Could be the project, I am having trouble connecting to My Grid at times....times out.
Just wait a couple of hours...

WCG uses https, while other projects don't. For some reason there's a problem with the certificate that should be used.

To fix, 1st. try with a more up-to-date BOINC-client, v6.4.5 is old and fairly buggy, and it's possible the certificate isn't included or correctly installed in this version. To upgrade, download new client from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php and this should hopefully fix the problem.

If you're using Linux, it's maybe possible you'll also manually need to move the certificate or something, take a look on https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,27806 and this would maybe help you...
