Hi everybody !
I don't know the way to install Boinc Agent on Mandriva 2010 (linux). The formula: sudo apt-get install boinc-client boinc-manager works perfectly with Ubuntu 9.10 (linux) and not at all with le Mandriva... So what ? Has any one of you the response ??? Many thanks by advance. Best greetings of France argaunotes |

I have never used Mandriva (older name Mandrake as I recall) but isn't it a RPM based distro rather than a Debian type like Ubuntu?
If so, the command should be "sudo yum install boinc" if the Mandriva repository carries boinc. If not, download boinc from WCG or Berkley to your home directory and issue the command "sh boinc_6.2.15_i686-pc-linux-gnu.sh" as a normal user while in your home directory. Change the boinc version to whatever you downloaded and all should work well. |
