Assuming Windows 7 is all patched, it may be the Windows Firewall acting up or your LAN config. Are you behind a proxy server and when so, do you have control of it? At any rate, I'd start by booting the computer and the router/modem to refresh all settings, expecting that previously this computer reported results successfully.

When using Win 7 Pro x64 and Boinc 6.10.17, I noticed that when I updated World Community Grid from within Advanced View the tasks remained visible under the Tasks Tab. From the Messages Tab I could see that the finished tasks had been uploaded and reported.
However, I found that simply moving from Advanced View to Basic View, and leaving it for a few minutes before going back to Advanced View caused it to refresh, and the finished work units were no longer displayed. Might be related to your problem, or useful to someone else. Given that similar issues with different versions of Boinc have appeared, there is a chance a system security update caused this problem. I now use Boinc 6.10.18, and this issue is no longer present, but further system updates were also installed. |
