Hi Ken
Welcome to the forum. You need to post your start up log. In Boinc Mgr go to messages tab and copy the first part of the log down as far as and including "starting task ..." There will be some advisers along shortly to help. |

Hello Ken Morgan,
First look at your Messages tab to see where you are getting your settings from. Either you aqre using a local preferences file on your computer's hard drive or you are using the preferences on WCG at My Grid - Device Manager - Device Profiles - [profile name - either Default, Home, Work or School] Lokking over these settings, you will see lines such as 'On multiprocessors, use: 100.0% of processors'. One of these settings is probably blocking you from using both cores. Setting the above line to 99% will stop you from using both cores, since only 100% will use both. Lawrence |
