Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The thought has crossed my mind that Tuition refund requests would be in vain and the thought is what counts. Somewhere in Belgium there's even a damaged statue by Rodin depicting the thought. Don't no if the Eurostar passes that spot on the way to the Chunnel.

Snow, so persistent, yet there's more red already outdoing blue, because the rise of global temps is already committed for the next 30 years, even if we ad hoc stop all fossil fuel burning. It's melting, faster then some wished for, on a Northern Hemisphere scale and Iceland middle of the Atlantic having that red spot since at least November last year.

Daily Departure - March 4, 2010 (Day 63)

Anyone not seeing the Red meaning anomalously missing? Must be the weather and that not very strong El NiƱo.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Which is not the case Sek

Check here

http://climate.rutgers.edu/snowcover/table_rankings.php?ui_set=1

2,794,000 sq kms more than normal throughout February (about 91.5 Belgium's extra)

Feb 2010 ranked 3rd in 44 years worth of data

I set off again to work in Brussels today with white crystals of Man Made Global Warming falling from the sky ...again....

It was funny back in December now frankly I'm sick to death of the white stuff

So impressed... it's weather, a semi random composite of organized chaos, which shows the 44 years actual as going down, particularly in spring and summer, the bad signs, winter still being winter, most of the time... you check what has long been checked but can't see with the JY special edition 2010

Do these protective sets come with an extreme Truth exposure auto-switch-off alert?

Ctrl-F5 for an image update to show winter 2010 [Dec-Feb] in context... yes it's so much fun, real giggle, a nervous giggle for vapor from the oceans turning snow when it hits a cold jetstream. If it causes the long predicted to become observed FACT and causing the TRUTH to turn on a sick to death feeling, good, for it should!

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Sometimes things are lost in translation

I am tired, fed up, cheesed off with the seemingly never ending snow

I am not worried in the slightest about the climate it is perfectly normal

despite all attempts to claim that it is not

Have you checked the North Polar Sea Ice Extent today Sek?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Before changing topic since you can't win this one, nor any other, lets first finish the Snow story, and me playing on the nauseas causing nerve with me harp. Here's for those living on the very fringe of EURASIA the seasonal snow situation for mentioned past 44 years, though I remember 1963 vividly when there was WAY more then any of those years, but then standing till my neck in it was only a local experience.

Anyone, except JY SE 2010 wearers seeing the near straight line summer snow cover? When the sun is highest and when Albedo ** most counts? Yes it should cause reflection, but a different one from what snow cover used to do in summer, when NH wide there's 5.3 million km square missing on average in the last decade.

CTRL-F5

** Snow HAD, has no longer a 90%+ reflective capacity. Covered with sooth and dirt we spray from out coal plant stacks, it melts much faster... similar happens with glaciers. When the top snow comes off and that layer is bared with the year on year collected dirt, it melts much faster. Do we actually clean up our act would there be only GHG's to worry about... now we have double wammy. That dirt reaches all the way to the Arctic, where the permafrost is now less cold too and now releasing at least 3x the amount of CH4 than it did some decades ago. Ask the Inuit what they see on their formerly frozen up coast line... their thousand year old buriel sites washing off due erosion. Waves rolling in from the open sea where there used to be ice, semi permanently.

Rodin's "The Thinker", thinks and therefor IS: "This can't be right, what we're doing?"

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Yes Sek the World was warming throughout the 20th Century on account of an increasingly active Sun (more correctly a constantly active sun)

So yes the trend would be downwards

However just as in fashion that trend has now changed direction

We have reached the low point (for Summer Snow extent) as the Sun is now showing signs of reduced activity - which is why the terrible winter and the snow I had falling on my head this morning.

In the 21st Century there has not been any warming

How can you claim the Snow is declining when December was the 2nd greatest snow extent in 44 years. January the 6th greatest snow extent in 44 years and February the 3rd greatest snow extent in 44 years

Only 1978 beats 2010

Your alarmist fearmongering just doesn't wash anymore

Plot as many graphs as you like, claim it is disappearing if you like the reality is that there is nothing wrong with our climate and certainly nothing untoward that we, Mankind, have caused.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Oh that beautiful white snow we've not seen down here since December 16, 2008, and these extra special months of weather being whipped out and that #3 February cover of 2010 for that past 44 years... well looking at that weather and snow coming from up above where it's being frosted by that jetstream, down below it's meeting with... MEN also scientifically known as Homo Sapiens Sapiens, decencdent of Homo Erectus and on it's way to become Homo Cavitus Trogolodytus Retardus Regressivum, over 50% now living in the Urban Heat Islands.

Some liking big numbers, ideally with 8 decimals, the question here being when max hit in week 7 of 2010, where did 7.56 MILLION km square disappear to down at ground level where we MEN imprint out steps... that was 2 weeks later, 7557677 km square GONE. Bueller may answer, when he's returned to class: "Where's that heat coming from down below?". Ferris astutely will call out "The Weather, Sir" [Somehow having a Clockwork Orange scene coming to mind with that eye-clamp scene, forced viewing of reality! What are we doing?]
