Re: Revised Forum Policy

Thinking Thinking Thinking :D

I'm not sure if it was revised, just pulled forward to a global thread appearing prominently on all forums, away from the old button/link that seemed to have been sitting at top of screen meekly hiding in that dark gray bar.

Re: Revised Forum Policy

It hasn't changed recently, but it has been modified a couple of times in the past.

But will it be enforced? If it was in the past you and I would both be baned ... along with seveal others. wink

Paper tiger? Gossamer thread? Idle threat? Something made it worth highlighting today. Or maybe just another example of Cryptorchidism? Time will tell. biggrin

Re: Revised Forum Policy

From the Forum Rules:
Please post anything unrelated to World Community Grid in the Chat Room

So can we please say that when the CA's post in the chat room..that means that they are, and can be, normal people who have an opinion UNRELATED to WCG and their CA title? This is how it should be so they don't need to be set apart and can express their opinions just like everyone else in the Chat Room.

Re: Revised Forum Policy

Ooops - I forgot to announce that we put it there.

On the old forums, the link to the results was in the forum nav bar right below the main website nav bar. We didn't put it back there when we upgraded but meant to put it as a global announcement thread when we completed the migration. This was simply a delayed posting of what we meant to do during the upgrade.

The rules are identical to what is found here: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=forum#17

which hasn't been changed in awhile.

smile Re: Revised Forum Policy

"Please do not be rude to other members nor retaliate if a member is rude to you"

Sounds like christian rule to me. "Turn the other cheak".

It would be good to post the bibliography (from whose authority the rule comes) for each rule in order to see if people are to follow that rule or if it's dicriminitory to people of diferent opinions or religions.

Just jocking smile
