Re: Revised Forum Policy

The only rule I really don't like is this:

"Please do not start Flame Wars in the Forums, as this will not be tolerated"

Flame Wars are good. I was in a communist country up until 1990 and the Communist Party had the exact same rule - no hot discussion. God forbid to have an opinion and to try to check that opinion trough argumentative dialog.

I say WCG should change that rule in:

"Please do start Flame Wars in the Forums, as this will be more than tolerated"
Thank God that in reality the Forum is that way

Re: Revised Forum Policy

Understanding your perspective, I would agree. However, flame wars and vigorous discussion of a topic are two very different things. Flame wars are disrespectful, intolerant and downright rude. In a world of 6+ billion people, it will all too easy to find a topic that folks will strongly disagree on. There is nothing wrong with that in these forums as long as that is done with respect. Debate the topic, not the debaters.

That would be one huge international mental mass debate.
