Groundhog Day

Well, two different groudhogs gave 2 different predictions about how long winter will last....in Southern Ontario here its felt like spring since New Year so both groundhogs are wrong and there hasn't been a reason this year to consult them. Maybe we should have ask them if there was even going to be a winter this year!!! tongue

What the.....!? confused

Swiss shock Canadian men 2-0

Ouch!!!! Canada beaten by a hot goaltending and a Canadian. Shots on goal were 49-18 in favour of Canada with the Canadians outshooting the Swiss 24-1 in the 3d period....
Former Montreal Canadiens forward Paul DiPietro scored two goals and goalie Martin Gerber of the Carolina Hurricanes played superbly, making 49 saves for the shutout.

DiPietro, born Sault Saint Marie, Ont., played 192 NHL games with Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles. He scored 31 goals and 49 assists during his career that was highlighted by a Stanley Cup championship with the Canadiens in 1993.

NHL trade deadline March 9

It's been real slow on the trade front so far. I wonder if there will be any big moves tomorrow.

Ripcat on the Radio

Welcome new members!! biggrin

For anyone thats interested I broadcast rock music(soft to heavy) on the internet at 8am eastern weekdays for an hour or two on CKA Radio. If I have some listeners I will even talk! Wednesdays will be mostly Canadian Rock and will be exclusively Canadian Rock when I have enough music so it isn't repetitive.

Open this url in your player to listen: http://radio.canadaka.net:8000
You can get even closer and make requests at canadaka.net

Note: There isn't currently 24hrs of programming so you may want to log on to canadaka.net to see if someone is broadcasting.
