Yes as Lawrence notes it's new, implemented without a member feature news announcement that I can remember explaining this (intentionally low key?).

Indeed when he would stumble on the validation fix as to why some will not proceed through the automated process, the button will effortlessly never show again :D

Meantime, this is a stop gap for those in a rush. Several supplementals are in place to have the PV stuck items clear anyhow.

1. A check for validation at the original deadline, the point where otherwise a No Reply result would need a backup sent.
2. Another check at I think 14 days (when a No Reply Make Up job should be back)
3. Yet another check at 19 days from original submission date of the original task's deadline.

Point 2 I'm not entirely sure about, recollecting what I read filling in, but it's Spock logic to me ;>)

As for the fail to validate on the second result with the Try Validation link, bug or simply a delay between you pushing it and the validator getting in gear. It's cleared and that was what it needed.

I've seen the threads on the "stuck" WUs and when I saw this yesterday was hoping that might be the case but couldn't find anything about it being done.

Thanks for the response. I had tried searching on "try validation", never thought to look for "stuck", silly old me :-). After reading the note I remembered seeing it back in August but hadn't retained it.
