I have 2 dell Windows systems with default profiles. One of them has stopped getting work. It does malaria control just fine. What can I check to fix this? Thanks

Re: Stopped getting work Dell / Windows xp

There are many reasons why this could be, amongst long term and short term project debts. Buffer size, project switch times, deadlines of the work, so, first things first, let us start with asking you to post the message log please from the last time BOINC was launched. What client version are you running?

Did you visit the project tab, select WCG and hit the update button. Plz do so before posting. We'd like to see what the log says on this.

Gmansell,

I think you've missed off the first 11 lines (or so) of the messages log. According to mine, it should start with the line "Starting BOINC client version......"

Going by his host-id, he's running v6.2.28.

Re: Stopped getting work Dell / Windows xp

No, Gmansell. BOINC 6.2.28 is our recommended version.

It sounds like BOINC is just balancing the projects by giving malariacontrol.net more time, since it isn't requesting any work for WCG right now. If this situation persists for a long time, then post again and we tell you how to manually intervene.
