As the projects often slow at the end but not sure this time as we were caught off guard as to the short time left and have far to go to get those Badgers, Batches and/or badges.

Started getting series 0901 work units, so we're in the home stretch. Steve And, as it was on the 2nd of September that I first saw a target 8 in my queue, that equates to 13 days' worth of work. Assuming that during that time, not each and every day's quota was sent out (whereas, there's a greater chance of this being so now that more crunchers are scrambling to reach their goals), the timescale will more than likely be shorter for target 9... That means, that I'll be cutting it REALLY tight to reach Gold - and that's with using as big a buffer as I can possibly run with |

wow, my brain hurts after all the calculations to meet CEP close to 365 days as possible...
----------------------------------------Think I'm going to set it on FLU and just let it roll where it takes me if I go over my sincerest apologies to the badge hunters but after minor surgery (which felt like an elephant kicked me inappropriatly, but I'm coming along nicely) I'm just setting buffers and watching the daily tallies. Then after the Flu I might just go back to letting WCG decide where to work me. Cheers |

gb, Uplinger indicated a few days ago he thought there was 18+ days left, so maybe series 9 is bigger than series 8. I'm going to be very close to Sapphire so I'm also watching the progress closely.
With series 8 we did about 64 batches/day at the start. We'll see how that compares to series 9. |

A rough estimate based on the limited series 9 work I've recieved so far looks like we're progressing at a rate of about 53-54 batches per day. This would mean about 17 days to finish which matches closely with Uplinger's estimates.
This is based on a VERY small sample so the actual results may be substantially different. I can give a more acurate estimate in a couple of weeks. |

In a couple of weeks Uplinger will tell you: ~4.7 days estimated new work ;>)

Should hit Emerald tonight. Then 11 days +7 day cache and I'll have Sapphire.
----------------------------------------That's alittle closer than I like to cut it. |

With another day of data it looks like we're still progressing about 55 batch numbers a day. If we keep this pace the new work units should be sent by Sept 30/Oct 1.
This also assumes the techs are sending the batches out in sequence. On the series 8 project it got to batch #902 and then dropped back to 400's which added another couple days. |
