Testing Quick Post from the bottom whilst signed in freshly gives: You must use POST method Using the Quick Reply button above a post when signed in gives a request to sign in followed by You must use POST method There was a second variation to this red text warning but presently cant reproduce, but in effect the QR box no longer works for me. I got the same thing hitting reply, not quick reply. The error message is: You must use POST method » You may go back now and try again » If you believe this is a bug, click here to report this error to Website administrator Let me know if you experience this again. I believe this is due to the login issues (the server timed you out and then when you went to post it logged you in again but unfortunately that cause redirects which are only GET's). We have just released an update that should resolve most of the login issues. |

test & fail. Just tried and could not post after a request to sign in and got
----------------------------------------The parameter "forum" is not allowed to be empty! Please try again. Cleared cache/cookies and same happened. ONLY when going to My Grid to log in and return to the forum can I post! This has been frequently the case from even before the new software was implemented. This message is the second one I could not replicate.

Kevin, thanks for fixing so much so quickly! The size tags work - sorta. It seems to work by itself and in combination with bolding but not color. Here's some examples that hopefully help: Markup with delimiters changed: {size=4}Testing{/size} works {color=blue}Testing{/color} works {b}Testing{/b} works {color=blue}{b}Testing{/b}{/color} works {b}{color=blue}Testing{/color}{/b} works {size=4}{color=blue}Testing{/color}{/size} fails {color=blue}{size=4}Testing{/size}{/color} fails {size=4}{b}Testing{/b}{/size} works Results of actual markup: Testing works Testing works Testing works Testing works Testing works Testing fails Testing fails Testing works These work correctly in Firefox 3.5, Chrome, Safari, IE8 and IE7. I know that the two you list as failing do fail on IE6. We will not be correcting it for IE6. What browser are you using? IE Version 7.0.6002.18005 Hmm, could this be tied to one of the advanced settings under Internet Options? |

Hi, All

I've just tried to update my forum signature and got this error:
----------------------------------------The error message is: I was only adding my picture (as is the fashion) to look like this... seems to work OK here? Error executing SQL in MemberDAOImplJDBC.updateSignature The actual content is: {color=blue}{b}Matt{/b}{/color} {url=http://tinyurl.com/pq9djy}Join Little Jake & Toby's Rainbow Team{/url} {img}http://tinyurl.com/obw2tm{/img} {img}http://tinyurl.com/lahd53{/img} {img}http://is.gd/2TsNX{/img} {img}http://is.gd/2TsYc{/img} |

The error message is: Is there any update on this? I'm still getting this error when I try to update my signature. I've tried it on my work PC (WinXP, IE6) as well as my home laptop (VistaHomePro, IE8) and I get the same issue, so I assume it isn't a problem on my end?Error executing SQL in MemberDAOImplJDBC.updateSignature Also, since the forum update, I get this old chestnut popping up every time I read a post: ![]() This isn't a problem at home as I can set it to automatically show all the content, but my work PC is so restricted that I don't even have access to these settings. It's a real pain to have to "OK" every page. I'm guessing there is some content featured on every page that isn't hosted on the secure server. This wasn't a problem before, can it now be remedied? Thanks |

Thanks That popup is caused by the fact that by default the forum is accessed via https. For security Internet Explorer warns you if a page viewed via https has content that is not secure (i.e. http). Nearly every forum page has a picture from http as many people have a picture in their signature which is typically hosted via http. Maybe the techs can explain why we are forwarded to the forum using https://secure... instead of http://www... I have noticed both work (and there is no nasty popup when using the http variant). Is there some valid security reason for this or is the site just forgetting to redirect us back to http after doing the secure authentication? That's not quite correct; by default, the forums are served using HTTP. But, as you have noticed, sometimes the sign in process redirects you to the secure server.
It's a problem, and I believe the techs know about it. |
