Guys,
I am running WCG on 9 rigs in my workplace.Everything was working fine until the company installed a new proxy software called Bluecoat web filtering service. This blocks up all the ports WCG uses to communicate with the servers. I am unable to upload or download WU. Is there any way to tunnel this communication process with the servers using any ssl proxy service? I did try to search regarding this. I went to the post http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=9462#236509 It just takes me to the start of the thread. There are numerous posts in this thread and how do i find tunneling. Is there a feature called search thread on WCG forums? Attaching a log of everything i did 8/27/2009 7:10:52 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] info: Connection #-1 to host houprxy830.corp.halliburton.com left intact 8/27/2009 7:10:52 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] info: Issue another request to this URL: 'http://www.ibm.com/us/en/' 8/27/2009 7:10:52 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] info: This connection did not fit in the connection cache 8/27/2009 7:10:52 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] info: About to connect() to proxy houprxy830.corp.halliburton.com port 80 (#-1) 8/27/2009 7:10:52 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] info: Trying 34.36.124.21... 8/27/2009 7:10:52 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] info: Connected to houprxy830.corp.halliburton.com (34.36.124.21) port 80 (#-1) 8/27/2009 7:10:52 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Sent header to server: GET http://www.ibm.com/us/en/ HTTP/1.0 User-Agent: BOINC client (windows_intelx86 6.2.28) Host: www.ibm.com Pragma: no-cache Accept: */* Accept-Encoding: deflate, gzip Referer: http://www.ibm.com/ Proxy-Connection: Keep-Alive Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: HTTP/1.1 200 OK 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Date: Thu, 27 Aug 2009 03:10:53 GMT 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Server: IBM_HTTP_Server 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Vary: User-Agent,* 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Cache-Control: no-cache 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Kp-eeAlive: timeout=10, max=75 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Content-Type: text/html;charset=UTF-8 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Content-Language: en-US 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Vary: User-Agent, Accept-Encoding 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Content-Length: 7578 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Proxy-Connection: Keep-Alive 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Connection: Keep-Alive 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: Content-Encoding: gzip 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] Received header from server: 8/27/2009 7:10:53 AM||[http_xfer_debug] HTTP: wrote 2544 bytes 8/27/2009 7:10:54 AM||[http_xfer_debug] HTTP: wrote 4357 bytes 8/27/2009 7:10:54 AM||[http_xfer_debug] HTTP: wrote 7297 bytes 8/27/2009 7:10:54 AM||[http_xfer_debug] HTTP: wrote 8788 bytes 8/27/2009 7:10:54 AM||[http_xfer_debug] HTTP: wrote 9481 bytes 8/27/2009 7:10:54 AM||[http_xfer_debug] HTTP: wrote 5598 bytes 8/27/2009 7:10:54 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] info: Expire cleared 8/27/2009 7:10:54 AM||[http_debug] [ID#74] info: Connection #-1 to host houprxy830.corp.halliburton.com left intact 8/27/2009 7:10:54 AM||Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. Appreciate if anyone could help me out. Otherwise I would be loosing 9 rigs who would have otherwise crunched non stop 24*7. Regards, Shiv |

WCG does not support clandestine installations. It is not only illegal but bad marketing. Why not prepare and submit a proposal to your company to support it?
