The ones I picked up seem to be aiming to finish in 9 hours. All are running well so far.

I got six rice betas and the run times range from just under 4 hours for a 2.83mhz Intel quad to 24 hours for a G4 1.5mhz.

Anyone who's going to get a valid result that does not have a 7 hours + few seconds or minutes is sure to report... still the one here on a quad is 21% after 1:27 hours. The percent against actual run time is mostly much more accurate after an hour than the TTC ;>)

any issues yet? I currently have 8 Beta work units running. All are just shy of or just slightly over 3 hours run time and not a single problem here. Machines currently running the Betas: QX6700 (overclocked to 3.45GHz), XP Pro 32 bit Q6700 (overclocked to 3.5GHz), Vista Ultimate 64 bit P4 Northwood (stock clocks - 3.4GHz, HT enabled), XP Home (32 bit) |

The beta work units are R00361_ in work unit name. So if you are looking at the results status page, you will see them like this. You can filter based on BETA work units in the Result status page to see them all easily. Thanks, -Uplinger <Also posted in the main Rice forum.> I'm curious: how come the Rice executable(s) currently out in Beta carry a lower version number (V6.09) than the "production" Rice distribution (V6.17)?? Hopefully not a configuration management error? |

I have 4 Betas on 3 Linux machines in progress (2 AMD, 1 Intel) and they are all crunching fine and look to finish within or around the 7 hour time given, so far anyway.

I have 19 running under Win XP 32+64, Vista32+64 and 7-64 on both AMD and Intel Duo+Quad processors. All appear to be running fine and about 7+ hours. About 1/2 are more than 50% complete.

These are all going to be 7 hour runtime work units. Similar to the length you see in the regular production versions. Just as you said mine are finishing just over 7 hours. Early on it seem to have a very hard time caculating how long it was going to take. -Jasm
