Re: vacation

Go to the BOINC Manager, (Advanced Grid View), select the project tab then WCG and hit the button on left to say you don't want any more work, for now. Finish what you have and switch off the computer.

If you dont manage to finish all work you have in buffer, go to the Task tab and select the tasks to abort and do so by hitting the button on the left.

Happy holidays (and do edit/remove your email address from your post above). Support can reach you since they've got access to your contact info.

Re: vacation

RMargulski, thanks for your post, and Sekerob, thanks for your reply. This was just the information I was looking for. I thought I'd relate my experience in case it's useful to someone. Following Sekerob's instructions, I went under the Projects tab and saw the various commands, but they were grayed out. This stumped me, until I clicked on my project. (I didn't realize until writing this that Sekerob's "WCG" must mean "World Community Grid" - not too smart.) When I clicked on the project, more buttons appeared and they were active. I see that I can toggle between "No new tasks" and "Allow new tasks". Thanks!
