The first time I ran the portable version of BOINC, I signed in using my regular USAFA 82 account. I made three versions of that. My next one will be to sign in as USAFA82@BC for camping purposes. My thought is that I would exit the regular crunching on my main computer and start up the portable version and hope that it does it as USAFA82@BC. Or, I would transfer the @BC portable agent to a computer that I'm working on and let it do some WUs while I have it in my office. See all of this is more than double Dutch for me, so it could be interesting if you could help this way.Yes, I'm on UTC +1 which is exactly 8 hours in front of you as you state - your time 1:30 pm mine 9:30 pm. I hardly ever sleep anyway, Mike, so I can accomodate you. Just knowing you are willing to try this is so nice. I never tried it before, but I shall gladly give you control of my laptop and assist if need be. I'm in no rush, though. I have an issue with one leg - possibly a staphylocuccos/strep infection, hopefully not a blood clot, and I'm not at my best these days. May I contact you here when my issue is under control, please? |

May I contact you here when my issue is under control, please? Yes, of course! I hope you feel better soon. I assume you've seen a physician? |

Hi all --
----------------------------------------Not much activity in our team's thread. Well Shin and I had the crud this spring. I've been coughing my lungs out, and Shin was in the hospital for a few days with pneumonia. Buy stock in Mucinex -- that is one of the meds our doctor prescribed -- we've gone through about 3 boxes so far. We are feeling a lot better. And Little Mermaid -- wonder if you were able to see the Aurora from your house last night? [Edit 1 times, last edit by littlepeaks at Mar 19, 2018 7:31:36 PM] |

Not much activity in our team's thread. You can say that again ![]() Sorry to hear you have been that ill, but good you are recovering now. And Little Mermaid -- wonder if you were able to see the Aurora from your house last night? No, I wasn't. I'm not sure it was visible here at all. It is very rare here. I do know of a place that is good for watching the night sky - the tears of St. Lawrence - without too much artifical light, but - brrrrr ... - Siberia moved on February 28 and likes it too much to leave ![]() I always wanted to see it. My father talked about seeing it on dark winter mornings as a rural letter carrier. However, I saw Diana G. was here on a visit yesterday. Unfortunately she left without leaving a note. ![]() |
