Hello, I find a strange result with a WU :
"Nom du projet: Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2 Créé le :: 06/08/09 Nom: mr937_00003" On the 19 replication sent all are valid, except two in error, and mine wich stays alone as "validation pending" I've never seen that before. What does it mean ? Thanks for explanation and happy crunching to everyone... |

My guess is that your result was returned after the others that were validated. The validator is not instanateous, sometimes it takes a couple hours or even days sometimes to catch up.

My guess is that your result was returned after the others that were validated. You seem to be right. The Wu has been processed on my small (and slow, due to a small RAM) Netpc. Thus, it came back a bit late.... Thanks for answering and ... let's keep on crunching ! |

knreed was discussing adding a button on the Result Status pagewhich will only show if a result is ready to be validated, but delayed going through the automated process. Not ready, No button, so am sure soon we'll see posts to report perceived 'ready' results, but aren't. Then there will be those that hit the button and nothing happens, because the validator(s) are actually paused. Maybe we are really in need of having a page where the different daemon statuses are shown, which will generate more posts asking why one or the other is paused or off-line. Round and Round and Round it goes ;>)

Maybe we are really in need of having a page where the different daemon statuses are shown 1. why is it down? 2. when will it be back up? 3. if you run v 9.gxv of unicenter you can parallel the validator and the distributor. 4. is that normal? 5. why don't you have the status of the forum web server on the the page? "son ... step away from the keyboard and leave the professionals to do their job" I can hear it now ... and yes, I see the irony that I am posting this when I would be among the first to be pondering these very questions  It is a fine line as each increment of communication creates an exponential amount of additional questions. I just can't seem to stay away so I at this point I am trying to keep myself amused by badge hunting for green across the full spectrum of projects available and pondering how to bring up a frankenstein i7 when the weather gets cooler. </ot> |
