You can safely ignore these misleading forum grades which are simply confusing for new forum users. I would much like that "cruncher" be replaced by something more appropriate, or even that this feature of the forum software be simply de-activated. Since the number of posts is clearly shown there is no need for these grades. Only the Techs, Community Advisors and Scientists and other specials roles should still be visible, I guess. These post-ranking might make some people post 'useless' messages to raise their ranking :-) ... is this a useless message from me? ![]() Post # 235 for me. ![]() Go to the "Bump Thread" and bump 4000 times. There you are. But you won't become a Community Advisor ![]() I do not think I would want to be a community advisor; too much hassle. I really respect the amount of work they do with little appreciation, for the most part, from all of us. |

Because the titles are meaningless I say drop them entirely or perhaps when the software gets upgraded it will be to one of the fancy systems that let you grade posts. Since they have a definition, they are not meaningless. They are a LABEL. The idea that people are asking WCG to divert the Techs from the work they are doing on Alpha and Beta testing, new projects, project management and hardware support and INSTEAD change a label. WOW ![]() What part of my post says I do not want them to not work on alpha, beta., etc? Perhaps I was being overly aggressive when I used "meaningless" to imply that the sheer volume of posts has nothing to do with quality. |

Why not just relate the designation to the amout of time the member has been a member, leave crunching out of it. Not a good idea, i think. I have been a member one year before i had the possibility to start crunching. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 27, 2009 8:03:39 PM] |
