Re: Final Batches of DDD-T Phase 1 have been loaded.

personaly i decided to be happy with the badge i have for this project and hunted elsewhere...

i understand droping work units just so others get a chance.

honestly a bronze badge for each project (minimum) would be nice while i concentrate on 1 badge at a time

happy crunching

Re: Final Batches of DDD-T Phase 1 have been loaded.

Just made the sapphire :)

Aborted about 40 tasks that were left in queue, so others can get their last minute resends in :)

Will shift gears to CEP now.

Congratulations Ardruin on achieving your Gold badge just in time biggrin

To me, it's all very well and good that many people can contribute huge amounts of CPU power to the grid, enabling them to get to the higher badges that we've now got (plus, new badges which I'm sure will come in the future), but the first real, main goal, is that Gold badge cool

Congratulations. And this almost the maximal allowed cache running dry. That was close for you :-)

I noticed you and I joined WCG at the same date. Funny coincidence.
Keep on crunching

Re: Final Batches of DDD-T Phase 1 have been loaded.

Oh well, that's (almost) it. I needed about 2 calendar days of work to make Sapphire when my cache of DDDT WUs ran out. Meh...

Congratulations to all who hit their personal targets.

Re: Final Batches of DDD-T Phase 1 have been loaded.

Well you partly created your own situation if you had a buffer of over 2 days, for then your client is not considered for rush/repair/makeup work and there are surely still quite a few out there. Yesterday 3.5k WU's validated still.

For now, just keep that DDDT project ticked in your device profile and "if no work is available for..." selected for the next few weeks, with a small buffer of say 1 day and keep returning work. Then you might get into the "quick returners" queue for those remaining DDDT jobs.

edit: correct quotation mark placement.

Re: Final Batches of DDD-T Phase 1 have been loaded.

That is always a concern when considering making a run for the next higher badge on a project that is wrapping up. The size of the cache can help or hurt you. When lots of units are avaliable and you need them a large cache is important but at the end of the project to catch any of the "jobs" needing to be done a small cache and with only that project selected and /or (if willing to let your computer(s) lay fallow if none of that project is readily avaliable) select only that project and select -do not select send other work if the above selected projects work is not avalaible. It gets to be a game but gets the job done.
