Re: New Help Conquer Cancer Badges

One downside to other projects finishing/coming to a temporary pause, is that even more people are now crunching on the available projects - which, of course, includes HCC, resulting in a knock-on effect of speeding the project up.

As it's my goal to achieve Sapphire in this project (currently ~176 calendar days away and 76 days left showing on SekeRob's chart), things are going to get mightly tight for me... crying "In theory", I should make it, but just to be on the safe side, I've temporarily stepped out of the Beta testing program...

Hopefully, my next post in this thread, is to announce my 2 year participation level has been reached... praying good luck

Re: New Help Conquer Cancer Badges

Is there any Badges after 2 years. I did all my HCC on CPU and got the 2 year Badge some time ago. I am using the GPU application now but there is not really any incentive after you get the two year badge and that is what I thought the Bagdes were for ???

Hi Ding o, currently not (unfortunately). Question is though, did you participate in that Survey the techs sent out a few days ago?, as that's certainly an opportunity to put forth the suggestion (as I did) for higher badges - as you're quite right, after achieving the Sapphire badge in a particular project, there's no real incentive to continue in that project. Once you've achieved Sapphire in all current projects, where's the incentive (other than purely in helping the scientists) to continue crunching at WCG?
