Emerald...for all practical purposes, pure GPU. (Thanks for putting out GPU work, HCC - my till-then layabout GPUs were causing mumbling and grumbling among my cores, themselves busy on non-GPU science.)

I am currently running HCC on a total of 5 CPU cores + 1GPU on two different machines. If you are saying that it would be like having an extra core, I'm not sure that would really do the trick here. Sure, it would help, but then again, I am actually using my PC's graphics card a lot of the time and since I cannot have HCC run while I'm trying to play something, the benefit there would only be marginal.

Anyway, I don't see myself fiddling with the app_config file...so although I appreciate you taking the time and suggesting this, there's fat chance I will go in that direction.

If the project will end before I hit the mark, that's fine. What's important is that I helped and hopefully everyone will benefit from that 100+ days of CPU/GPU time that I donated to the cause.
