WCG, the Coffey International Award, MDGs and member recruitment.

Dear WCG, I thought awhile about member recruitment and related to the recievement of the Coffey International Award and the Millenium Developmental Goals (MDGs). What about if we could get UN or other major organizations to use WCG? That would advocate and legitimize the cause even further.

Re: WCG, the Coffey International Award, MDGs and member recruitment.

seems to me the UN is very highly fragmented, and even more so all the computers. still a nice idea; perhaps we could convince them department by department, and they have many.

re the coffey award to ibm, that is great! only thing that bothers me is coffey's interests in prison-building. some americans here are pushing to end the 'prohibition' against drugs, and looking for new solutions to non-violent crimes. however i'm sure that leaves plenty of other criminals available smile

I've wondered whether the Gates Foundation has been approached to support WCG. They give a lot of money towards researching and/or combating HIV/AIDS, and have certain connections in the computing world. They could be a powerfull ally.

well since we're on prince charles now, here is robert plant of led zeppelin getting 'knighted':

looks as if he has aged a bit smile

speaking again of coffey and prison-building, i believe several royal-family associates have used cocaine. one more reason many people are pushing for an end to the 'drug war'.
