I've got WCG and SETI@HOME on my boinc agent but only seti@home is running all WCG tasks are just "waiting to run" how do I get them moving again manually ? I can't figure why they have stopped...

First thing I'd recommend, is to paste the beginning of your BOINC Messages tab in this thread - then it'll give us a chance to look at your settings...

I've got WCG and SETI@HOME on my boinc agent but only seti@home is running all WCG tasks are just "waiting to run" how do I get them moving again manually ? I can't figure why they have stopped... You can only run as many tasks at one time as you have cpu cores on your machine...so if you have a dual core you can run 2 tasks at one time and no more. If you look you will probably see that you already have some tasks running and some qeued up ready to run or "waiting to run". Boinc is not a very good short term program for deciding what should run when but over the long term Boinc is pretty good at task management. so for the short term you will see one project get more time than another project but over the long term it will even back out. ![]() ![]() |

Almost 3 days now since OP. Need log from start to where it preempts the tasks putting them in the "waiting to run" state. Could be caused due priorities or memory shortage (physical or BOINC settings) to name a few avenues.
