saw that one of my results stopped after a couple of minutes and read "computational error." never seen that before.. anyone else? Mike.. I've seen several like that over the years. What project was the WU for? - D |

saw that one of my results stopped after a couple of minutes and read "computational error." never seen that before.. anyone else? Mike.. I've seen several like that over the years. What project was the WU for? - D Mike, I've seen that on rare occasions. If it is just a rare single WU here or there, I would not worry about it. If you encounter multiples of these together, you could have a problem with one of your machines if they are specific to one. I recall experiencing something like that once or twice in the past myself. It has not happened enough with WCG WUs for me to come to any certainties. Shutting down and rebooting was my reaction and that appeared to resolve it on those one or two occasions. It does seem that another project outside WCG is a bit more prone to this sort of thing so it may have something to do with that project's requirements. I have a suspicion that it could relate to running out of memory and the extent to which paging has to occur. Perhaps I was doing some work at the time that was very memory intensive somehow. I don't know. |
