PS3 Wii

I've read that PS3 are in use applied to some grid projects. It might be on other platforms than WCG. Is it possible to use Wii?

You are about a year late. . . GPU's [Graphic Processing Units (video cards)] are the latest rage.

. . . problem is that GPU processing is only for a very limited range of programs.
