I've just uploaded several CMD2 WU's that ran between 5 and 7 hours which show as 4 hours on Results Status.

Let me guess: you are using an unsupported BOINC version?
You have been caught out by the difference between elapsed and CPU time? You're not the first. Our recommended BOINC version is here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/reg/ms/viewDownloadAgain.do |

This is what we recommend. BOINC 6.6 has very few new features, and includes lots of new bugs. Our recommended version has some features the Berkeley version doesn't. For example, it won't nag you to upgrade so often.

Vista installation instructions are here: http://wcg.wikia.com/wiki/Installation_(Vista)
However, BOINC 6.6 may have left some crud behind. Try removing it and deleting all the related files first. |

Will you have this same problem if you run version 6.4.5? Because I am running 6.6.36 and having the same problem but I still want a version of BOINC that supports CUDA for other projects.

Hello ishmoo21,
If you want to run CUDA, there are no perfect versions. BOINC with CUDA is a work in progress. Just learn how to work around the bugs. Lawrence |

The new time counting system was introduced in 6.6 though I believe. In any case, what the website shows is the time that was actually spend on crunching, what 6.6 shows was the time between start & end (including the time the cpu spend to play your movie, check for mail, do virusscan etc etc). Strange improvement in 6.6 if you ask me
