Where did my points go

Every day I am anxiously looking for my point results and I noticed that on the project Discovering Dengue Drugs Together in some one case I got only halve of the usual points for the job done.
Looking on the job list (touching the Valid message) I noticed that some other person got the same figure as me with only half the points claimed. Can somebody explain to me what has happened. This is the second time that it happens to me.
I am the one with 104.6 points claimed. Normally I get some 94 points granted.

Re: Where did my points go

When claims are widely apart the validator looks at the historic credits for each device and who's closest is the credit awarded for all in a quorum. There's further logic to test consistent underclaimers, so the high claim is being used or even something higher / different.

Normally 94 points, I assume is a mean value. The credit claim is based on benchmark and time, so if your client benchmarks 10 per hour and takes 6 hours to complete the task, 60 is claimed.

Now, in this case the faster machine only claiming half of the slower machine is suspicious, so hopefully a tech reads this and checks why that client is doing that, very consistently?

Re: Where did my points go

This is the second instance in 3 months time. In both cases the internet line has been down during part of the night and the update request happened during the down time.

So notice that the two tasks only differ in minutes in start and stop time and the task numbers differ only in the last digit. So probably the second task has been generated as a result of incomplete upload of the result.

Re: Where did my points go

It also says the initial replication was 2 and the quorum 2 so they were both sent out together...
