Latest parent here is 2164.
Reaching my goal is getting tough: Crunching chart says Feb 2, my sapphire oracle estimates just the same day. closing firefox now to save cycles ;) |

OK... I gotta ask...
----------------------------------------- What's the interest in parents, children and grandchildren? - How do you distinguish between the three ? (side note: I think I get how they're created: depending on the results of the parent, a child is spawned and depending on the results of a child, a grandchild is spawned, etc). ... just trying to understand this part of the thread. I'm currently almost crunching exclusively HCMD-2. Thanks, CJSL ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by cjslman at Dec 10, 2011 8:41:19 PM] |

CJSL,
The interest stems from trying to better understand the progress being made through the HCMD2 project. Sekerob feeds the info into his crystal ball every Friday or so and improves the predictions in his performance charts. Here is a thread that includes how to distinguish between parents, children and grandchildren (see Sekerob's post at Sep 30, 2009 11:34:38 AM). |

I just picked up a 2177 parent I've learnt that batches vary considerably in computational difficulty, and it's interesting that 2177 is particularly large compared with other recent batches. The researchers have charted how many "positions" require computing per batch: click on "Positions of batches", then "Very large chart" to see detail down to batch number. |
