I finished CMD2_2103-2C6F_A.clustersOccur-2OXE_A.clustersOccur_5_21040_21881_21055_21137 this morning. I'm lead to believe it's a grandchild. If this is true it's a big grandchild as it ran for 9.75 hours I got 251.0 / 251.7 for it. Credit is almost equal. I have no issue with this I'm just passing comment.
----------------------------------------My latest parent is from batch 2116 ![]() |

Looks like parents are showing up again after at least 24 hours of just children and grandchildren. That was my experience at least.
Parents are at 2154 as of an hour ago. I'm seriously debating a run for sapphire. I've got 6 cores and I'm almost at Emerald... But 365 days over 6 cores takes 61 days. And I use the cores for more than WCG, so its longer... |

Sticking to just estimate the progress with the feedback on batch number info and offspring. June 27 last update at http://graal.ens-lyon.fr/~nbard/WCGStats/ makes it now 5.5 months. --//-- edit: restore thread title! [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 9, 2011 7:40:59 AM] |

I'm seriously debating a run for sapphire. I've got 6 cores and I'm almost at Emerald... But 365 days over 6 cores takes 61 days. And I use the cores for more than WCG, so its longer... As discussed earlier, HCMD2 is different from e.g. HCC2 where the amount of work to be done is well-known in the last phase of the project. HCMD2 uses the concept of children, grandchildren etc. So Sekerob's estimate marks the end of the *continuous* flow of WUs. After that, it will not only be repairs, but also WUs that come back incomplete and therefore results in children, grandchildren etc. I would expect regular (i.e. non-repair) work to be still available at least 2-3 weeks after the end of the regular flow of work, at a reduced rate of course. It would be different if WCG would take measures to speed up the project at the end, e.g. prioritize the parent WUs, but I don't think that will happen. BTW, current distribution is children between 2153 and 2156. Regards, Martin ![]() |
