Most probably it has been aborted by the server as "not yet started after the second valid result has been received". Check the times of its quorum to see it they are consistent with this explanation. Note that the time it has been aborted is the time when your client first contacted the servers after the quorum had been reached. This dirstribution with Minimum Quorum: 2 Replication: 4 is meant to speed up the beta testing process. Cheers. Jean. yeah maybe that's the reason. I will check my client logfile when I am back at home next time. I like the idea of speeding up the beta process although I think it is ineffective to send 2x more WUs out than are needed for a valid result. By doing so you will receive a valid result fast but a lot CPU-time will be wasted. How about setting the timelimit to something like 6 hours and send only 2 WUs out? This will also speed up the process and will increase the output of valid results. If 6 hours were done, the repair/no reply copies get 2 hours (33%). Not much point debating the hows and why's for it goes way off into server software design and whatnot.

Had eight of these now :) Hopefully be getting my Beta Bronze soon. Does anyone have any more info as to what the finalised project will be tackling? If not can the techs/community advisors give us a release date?

CA's cannot, as always. WCG staff could, if they would and even if they want, they can't or the PR people get angry and they are much closer to the top floor.

Had eight of these now :) Hopefully be getting my Beta Bronze soon. Does anyone have any more info as to what the finalised project will be tackling? If not can the techs/community advisors give us a release date? This project had an extremely successful BETA test thanks to our members testing for us. It was a fast paced beta test and that is why there were 4 replications sent out for a quorum of 2 on the work units. The work units were also "chopped" up into smaller pieces than what will be sent out in production. About 1/4th the production size. Thanks again, -Uplinger |

Got 17 total and all 17 validated. All were processed by 3 Linux clients with 2 AMD's and 1 Pentium.
I did however, preempt production "in progress" WU's to get the Betas out ASAP. IADS I presume ![]() |

I got ten total and 6 of them were aborted before they got crunched. :( Some of them within an hour of my even receiving them.
