How is GPUGRID? I think I want to get nVidia and crunch there instead of Folding@home. I think they have sufficient resources and I get a weird/stuffy vibe on their forums. I kind of want to switch to Folding@Home actually. :( |

They were very helpful to me when I started as a newbie with dumb questions. Yes, they can be a bit "stuffy". It's where a lot of the GPU developers/alpha testers hangout and sometimes ego's rub against each other. Their forum is "strickly business". I sure would like to see you there. ![]() ![]() |

Anyone know why my BOINC client with the 260 has 4 GPUGrid work units? Doesn't it normally have 2? It used to only have 2 until I put 9800GT in, then it became 4. Now I took 9800GT out and it's still 4. I tried reattaching. I don't want to install since.. I have to cancel all my current work units. My 9800GT only has 2 in system #2. My 260 showed 4. My 8800GT showed 4. I think 4 is the standard. Check your settings on GPUGRID website. http://www.gpugrid.net/prefs.php?subset=global |

@Chris: Thank you again for the Ambient Weather info! The machine now runs @ 100% with much less memory usage and paging. ![]() You're quite welcome. I'm glad they finally came out with a new version. It seems mine would always crash while I was a work. Now it seems very stable.

I kind of want to switch to Folding@Home actually. :( The community there doesn't seem as tight as MOT otherwise I would have left about a year ago when DM and Cyberdude and a few others dropped out. It's because I like this team, you people, and the work MOT does at all our projects that I stay. |
