Jeez - this GTX 275 runs hot! On the 260 I could leave the fan on auto, and it would stay around 78C. If I leave the fan on auto on the 275, it wants to run about 87C. I have to run the fan at 65% to get this thing down to 80C. It's starting to sound like a C130 on take-off roll in my dining room! ![]() For card crunching peg it @ 100% fan ... they run hotter than CPU's. They also seem to be more durable at high temps than CPU's. Don't worry ... be happy ... about the credits. ![]() These credits are just crazy! LOL I just installed the 275 tonight and it already returned a WU. They gave me 10K credits for it!

I can't own red cars. My Camaro was red and I used to get pulled over even when I wasn't doing anything wrong! Yep, but every one else sees red too ... and get's out of the way. ![]() ![]() |

Well, this 275 is fast. It's been a little over 2 hours on the wu and it's 44% complete with it.
----------------------------------------I set the fan at 70% and the card cooled down to 70C. The case fans are still louder than the card fan so I can live with this.

It only got to 65C @ 50% in 90F heat outside. |

Happy May Day. "Workers of the World Unite!!" Well ... that never happened. ![]() Showers this morning with a chance of rain over the next 4 days. Good crunching weather. ![]() Happy May Day! The holiday has roots in a lot of other places than the labor movement. Most early religions had an "end of winter" or start of spring festival associated with May Day. I think I would rather party with the pagans than walk with the Wobblies ![]() Oh yeah -- it will be in the 50's and 60's here for the next seven days.
